Game Plan Sr. National Manager

Cara has in-depth knowledge of the Canadian sport system and a profound understanding of the holistic needs of athletes. She had worked with the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary for over 15 years. Her roles as Director of Stakeholder Relations and Game Plan Advisor positioned her well to lead the continued growth of Game Plan. Cara’s in-depth understanding of the history of Game Plan, partnered with her drive and experience, will provide Game Plan with an invaluable resource.

As a fresh graduate from Concordia with a BA in Recreation and Leisure, Cara started her career as an intern working with the Canadian Olympic Committee during the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games. This experience ignited her passion for sport and brought her to Games in Torino 2006, Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 as a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee Mission Team.

Cara understands the demands of high-performance sport and genuinely loves helping athletes work through the life challenges of competing in high performance sport. She will bring this hands-on experience with her in leading and guiding the Game Plan team to ensure Game Plan continues to be a leader in athlete wellness.

Cara and her family live in Calgary where she takes advantage of the mountains whenever she can. She enjoys hiking, skiing and is a new fan of pickleball.
