Support for Game Plan athletes at McGill:
Designated staff contact within the university to provide guidance and individualized educational planning and counselling to athletes;
Wherever possible, McGill will provide accommodations for student-athletes for reduced course loads, the ability to postpone and resume studies, and prolonged completion times for degrees with exceptions flagged by the university;
Wherever possible, McGill will provide alternative and/or flexible assignment deadlines and alternative tutorial times based on sporting related commitments;
McGill will provide access to academic and non-academic resources through student service areas that support the unique needs and skill sets of student-athletes.
McGill is pleased to partner with Game Plan to assist Canadian athletes in their pursuit of excellence in the classroom and on the playing field. The University encourages athletes to challenge themselves intellectually as well as physically and supports their efforts in juggling the demands of being a student-athlete as well as the transition into life after competition.
