This was built to empower all Team Canada athletes to make the best possible use of social media accounts and tell the story of their sports, their teams, their journeys, and themselves.
Here you can learn about the positive opportunities involved with telling your story, how to best deal with the media, and how to better avoid distraction that may take away from your sport competition.
Register by August 26!
Get clear on your story. Show up with confidence.
Whether you're on the road to Milano Cortina 2026 or simply looking to feel more confident in media moments, this two-part training series will help you own your message and practice sharing it in a low-pressure environment.
Who it’s for:
Open to all eligible Game Plan athletes, with a focus on Milano Cortina 2026 athletes – whether you’ve already been nominated to Team Canada or are still working hard to qualify.
PART 1: Virtual Session
Owning Your Story & Understanding the Media Landscape
In this virtual session, you'll explore and shape your personal story – and learn how to share it with impact. We’ll also cover simple interview techniques and give you a sneak peek of what to expect from Games-time media at Milano Cortina 2026.
IN ENGLISH: Wednesday, August 27 | 12:00–1:30pm ET (ENGLISH) – led by Olympian Claire Carver-Dias and the COC and CPC Communications teams.

PART 2: In-Person Practice
Take part in a mock interview with a reporter in a small group setting, where each athlete gets individual time in the spotlight – plus real-time, personalized feedback. You’ll be able to choose a 1-hour time slot and location that works best for you.

Calgary: Friday, September 19 | 11:00am – 3:00pm MT | CSIAB
